John Cary / G F Cruchley - Dartmoor Manoeuvres As well as the reprinted sheets from  Cary's Improved Map listed in the previous entry, Cruchley used lithographs taken from his Reduced Ordnance Map of Devonshire (itself a reprinting of Palmer/Cary of 1813, see B&B 80 and 138) to produce a map of Dartmoor to coincide with military manoeuvres taking place there in 1873 [1] . This map, Reduced Ordnance Map. Environs of Dartmoor compiled for the Autumn Manoeuvres (South Division) (cover title), was a section of the Reduced Ordnance Map but enlarged to a scale of ¾ mile to the inch and folding into the usual Cruchley orange card covers either coloured (eighteen pence) or plain (one shilling).
