1. 1844 A MAP OF THE NORTH OF DEVON Engraved For BANFIELD'S Guide to Ilfracombe. There is no imprint or signature. The key (Aa) lists six different categories of roads.
The map extends from just below Hartland to a point just east of Oare, with Barnstaple more or less at the centre. There is a dotted line heading south from Barnstaple along the banks of the Taw river which may be the (intended) railway but it finishes short of the lower border (completed in 1854). Illustrated.

Also includes Banfield 4.
